John D. Strausbaugh, D.O., P.A

Dr. John Strausbaugh, originally from Ohio, has been practicing medicine since 1981. He is Board Certified in Family Practice by the American Board of Family Practitioners. He is also a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners, American Osteopathic Association, World Health Organization, and the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association. Most recently he became a certified Laboratory Director courtesy of COLA.

Dr. Strausbaugh did his Residency and Internships at Doctors Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Baylor University, Waco,Texas with a degree in Biology and Psychology, and received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri.

Carmen M. Sylvester, ARNP, MSN
Ms. Sylvester escaped from Romania where she was trained as a Registered Nurse and arrived to New York City in 1983. After completing her Masters of Science in Nursing at Florida International University in Miami, she became a nurse practitioner. She trained in Cardiology and Urgent Care. She has broad experience in various medical fields including Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Pulmonology, Thromboembolic Disease, Prothrombin Time Management, Women’s Health, and Urgent Care. Her special interests include Wellness and Preventative Care, Diabetes and Weight Management.

  Before she became a nurse practitioner, she worked in the operating room at the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania in various surgical settings both in Romania and here in the U.S. including Trauma, General Surgery, Maxillofacial, Plastic and Reconstructive, Cardiovascular, Orthopedic, Genitourinary, and Neurosurgery, as well as Kidney and Liver Transplant Surgery.
